Lighthouse Bookstore Logo
Project Brief
Develop a new logo for a church bookstore rebrand. On my favorite concept, the logomark mimics the pages and open binding of a book as well as the top of a lighthouse with beams of light extending outward. The red interior color of the logomark is representative of a brighter light which shifts to a muted gold as the rays radiate outward. The final logo is less abstracted. The lighthouse is more traditional, but the base of it plays with positive and negative space to suggest both an open book as well as waves crashing at the base of the lighthouse.

Pine Castle

Updated branding for a non-profit organization serving the disabled community. They didn't like the heaviness of the lettering in their current logo. I addressed that issue while still maintaining the color and important design elements of their established branding. I enhanced the pine boughs to encompass the logo, both to direct the eye and allude to the safe covering associated with a castle.

Logo redesign for a public relations firm. The new logo mark flows much more gracefully, directing the eye towards the right rather than the left as the previous design does. The feather is also more weighted so it's no longer overpowered by the oval, restoring a sense of balance to the overall mark. Goodbye GIF, hello vector art.

My Fish
Project Brief
My original portfolio branding began with the middle initial of my signature. I chose a fish for several reasons: the obvious one being "Fisher" is my last name. The fish also carries the following symbolism: 'fish' is the Greek acronym for 'Jesus Christ, Son of God Savior' who is the center of my universe; in Indian symbolism the fish stands for creativity; in Greek/Roman symbolism the fish stands for transformation; in Celtic symbolism the fish stands for knowledge; and the betta fish specifically stands for beauty and strength. Over the years, I've drastically simplified and modernized my branding (can you find the fish in my logo now? Hint: check out the bottom of the "D.") but I'll still pay homage to the fish that started it all.
